Welcome to my story

I’m Breanna Decker-Grant…but you can call me Bree

I'm a multi-passionate entrepreneur and creative, always juggling various passions and hobbies. Currently, I'm deep into my second business venture, Juniper Lane—a unique blend of a vintage boutique and a bridal salon. But let's rewind a bit so I can share how it all began.

I graduated from Liberty University in 2019 with a degree in Family & Consumer Sciences and Business. During college, I became a certified wedding planner in 2016 and worked as a wedding planning assistant at various venues and companies. This hands-on experience allowed me to immerse myself in the industry. Upon graduation, I launched my own wedding planning business, Atlas & Ember, focusing on intimate and artful events.

While planning numerous weddings, I also worked at Banana Republic as a manager for nearly four years. There, I gained invaluable insights into retail management, team building, merchandising, and more. Despite my corporate success, I felt a strong pull towards full-time entrepreneurship.

Inspired by my love for both retail and weddings, I envisioned opening a bridal salon. When a beautiful boutique in my university town went up for sale, I took it as a sign. After meeting with a business broker and conducting thorough due diligence, I was close to sealing the deal. Simultaneously, I was offered what seemed like a dream job at a prestigious wedding venue. However, the grueling 50+ hour weeks and unclear expectations left me feeling defeated.

Just weeks before Christmas, I returned to my hometown feeling discouraged. It was then that my dad mentioned a local vintage store liquidating its inventory, including wedding gowns. Encouraged by him, I decided to explore this opportunity. After meeting with the owner, I took a leap of faith and bought the entire inventory, not just the wedding dresses.

Fast forward over a year, and I'm thrilled I made that decision. Juniper Lane has allowed me to grow and learn as an entrepreneur. My passion for business and entrepreneurship has inspired me to help others start their own ventures. This led to the launch of my podcast, "Her Own Way," where we discuss forging your own path, mindset tips, and feature conversations with other powerful women.

This year, my goal is to settle into my role at Juniper Lane, expand the bridal section, and book more appointments for brides-to-be. Atlas & Ember, my first love, continues to plan a handful of intimate weddings and now offers services for business owners. I provide business coaching and styled shoot coordination, helping new or rebranding business owners develop standout content and branding.

Thank you for following my journey. I hope to inspire and encourage others to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams.

With Love, From Bree
